Angels We Have Heard on High

Donald Miller created a choral arrangement of this Christmas favorite so he and Brian collaborated on creating a handbell setting. It is exciting as indicated by the beginning tempo marking:  Rhythmic and Driving!   Written in F-major and mostly in 6/8 time, mixed meter duple and triple infuses it with energy and excitement. A calm 4/4 section featuring all handchimes is a lovely moment before it returns to Tempo primo.  There are nicely-placed dynamics and tempo nuances which add expression. The recommended tempo is dotted-quarter = 104. This is a unique and creative setting that ringers will enjoy and audiences will find immensely exciting!  It is sure to be another ‘must-have’ for advanced group concerts and worship..
