Martha Lynn has arranged this Bach favorite for 6 or 7 ringers with the solo line being played by either handchimes or any C-instrument.  LV markings are not included in the majority of the flowing eighth-note accompaniment.  To ensure a lyrical line, groups are encouraged to either ring with a ‘delay damp’ or LV as needed. Dynamics are included and tempo is steady until the ritard in the last few measures. It can be rung with fewer than 6 ringers if some have 4-in-hand skills. Tables are not needed and thus, it will be a lovely addition to any program – sacred or secular – for a sub-group or small ensemble to ring at a variety of venues.
