This energy-infused pop tune from the 1960 was used in the famous Elvis movie of the same name – and has never fallen out of favor throughout all these decades. Scott has created a fabulous handbell arrangement which ringers will love to perform and audience will be thrilled to hear! Using bells malleted on the table, mallet-lift, shakes, mart and mart-lift plus well-placed LV and dynamics, this is a rhythmic delight. Clean damping and careful attention to fp and ensuing crescendos make this especially exciting. This arrangement was commissioned for the 2026 “Neon City Rhythms” conference in … where else? Las Vegas!
NOTE: The tempo range is half note = 120-136 so demo sound files at both tempos are included.
