Patrick has such a wonderful gift for melody and expression through musical lines and chord progressions and this recent creation practically sings itself! It is Rung throughout with a few LV passages added and some nicely-placed Shakes – which help with the all-important expression this title requires. Handchimes carry the melody in one section as it segues into the treble bells supported by a flowing LV accompaniment in the lower bells. The addition of the low bass handchimes add rich texture and basis as it moves forward in energy and tempo toward a gorgeous climax which then relaxes into a lovely, gentle ending. This is an amazingly expressive work that will definitely tug at your emotional heart strings as your group rings every note with loving care. This is a wonderful work to add to your group’s repertoire for worship and concert.
