Patrick W. Meyer attended University of Wisconsin--Oshkosh majoring in music education, music merchandizing, and recording technology. He started composing and arranging music while attending UW--Oshkosh--mostly choral and small ensemble works--studying under Rolf Yttrehus, Dr. Bruce Wise, and Dr. James Chaudoir.  His first published work was a handbell composition written for his daughter Erin, entitled My Song of Joy (Erin's Lullaby)  (Hope Publishing No. 2711).

In the spring of 2023, Patrick was honored as the first recipient of Area 5's The Emerging Composer.  His work entitled This Joyous Celebration (Beckenhorst Press, Inc. HB570) was performed for the mass ringing.  His advice to those aspiring composers was "Enjoy the journey!  If you have a "song in your heart", let the world know about it.  They need to hear it, too!"

Patrick, a Desert Storm veteran, lives in Oshkosh, WI with his wife Susan, where he sang with the Oshkosh Chamber Singers, attended First Congregational Church, sang in their chancel choir and directed Faith Ringers Handbell Choir.  He has three grown children--Eric, Erin, and Bryan (Ashley Nicole) and three grandchildren.  Patrick is a founding member of Encore! Handbell Ensemble, and, although he is a retired performer, he still serves as their ASCAP reporter.
