Daniel has an amazing gift for creating compelling music using rhythm, dynamics, techniques, and melodic twists that result in an “it factor” that is thoroughly engaging! This is a delightful, creative, and beautifully crafted arrangement of this favorite English folk melody. Written in 6/8, it begins in G major and transitions into three other keys which adds energy and excitement to this already dynamic setting. It is mostly rung and includes visual and auditory interest with a few tower swings, mallet and mallet-lifts, RT, and LV. It dances along with toe-tapping rhythm and some syncopated passages and the bell tree/orchestra bells part often feature three quarter notes per measure, offsetting the duple feel of the 6/8-- which will keep the audience thoroughly engaged. This is a ‘must have’ for your advanced group’s repertoire!
