This lovely hymn tune – STOWEY – is not the typical hymn tune with a single composer. Rather, it was gathered from several English folk tunes by Cecil Sharp near the end of the 19th century. Ann has created a sweet arrangement for bell tree with piano accompaniment that is easily accessible by handbell musicians and pianists alike. This is a perfect piece for use in a variety of worship and Christmas settings – from children’s church programs to midnight candlelight communion services.
It could also be rung by a soloist with 4-in-hand skills or even adapted for two ringers.
This is a ‘must-have’ for bell tree enthusiasts.
